About The Program

In the fall of 2020, we began taking hot sack lunches on Saturdays to the day laborers who wait for work at Home Depot. We did so through the winter and spring. We would like to continue this ministry, but we need help! Are you interested in partnering with us? We are looking for people/groups to sign up for occasional Saturdays to prepare and deliver hot sack lunches to these individuals. If you are interested in doing so, email us at secondstreetandhope@gmail.com, and we'll send you more info on how to get involved!

We look forward to partnering with our longtime volunteers as well as anyone new who wants to join in!

When you deliver, please be mindful to not block traffic coming into Home Depot.
It's always helpful if someone speaks Spanish, but it's not necessary! Support and encouragement can come through with a smile and a kind face.
Something hot in the lunch is helpful during the cold winter months. We found that burritos or hot sandwiches work well.
